Craziest Claim of the Month – “Gridiron vs. Tire Iron”

February’s craziest claim involves an auto repair shop. Just like most days, the mechanics were all working hard while also engaging in normal, everyday conversation and banter. That was until the topic of football was added to the mix.

The discussion began to get a bit heated between two of the mechanics regarding whose football team was better. As the situation escalated, one of the mechanics grabbed a tire iron and decided to hit the other person in the head with it. The injured employee ended up suffering permanent brain damage, which was ultimately paid for under the auto shop’s workers’ compensation. Moral of the story – just like politics, it’s best to leave the sports talk at home.
